I'm thrilled to announce that a very special piece of my writing was just published by one of my favorite creativity icons, best-selling author SARK (Susan Ariel Rainbow Kennedy) as a feature in her new Juicy Journaling eProgram. A definite creative honor and dream come true!

Here's some details about the course:

SARK has just launched her newest eProgram, called Juicy Journaling with SARK! It’s a juicy new journey through words, feelings, and fabulously juicy living, and I’m happy to share that I’m featured in the Program as one of the contributors. Last month SARK invited me to participate in this new program (with a huge, validating compliment about my writing that I'm still high about), and my "Magical Mini-Memoir" is one of 10 "personal stories from magical human beans who enjoy everyday writing" to emerge during the 30-day self-paced eProgram.

I just started this e-course today, so I don't know which day my memoir will surface... yet, but as soon as I do, I'll post an update below.

After taking the full course, I found that my Magical Mini-Memoir surfaces on Day 11 in SARK's Juicy Journaling eProgram. Susan Kennedy introduces my contribution with the following, and then my piece of writing appears right below the question, "What does writing mean to you?"

Here is today's Magical Mini-Memoir

Chris Dunmire is an effervescent creative force. Her irreverent style captures and delights me, her expansive creative applications thrill me. Chris's words and art are full of humor, depth, and play. She is an uncommon inventor.

Here is how Chris Dunmire responded to my question:

"What does writing mean to you?"

Just as a photo captures the image of an outward moment soon to pass; a piece of writing frames the essence of inner truth against a mat of mental contemplation, intuitive insight, and disintegrating emotion.

Deep, honest immersion in writing is like having tea with a good, trusted friend.

"How are you today, Chris?"

"I don't know. I'm confused. I'm hurt."

"What's going on? Talk to me." She comforts.

And then I cry it all out until it makes sense.

At 7, I was called to the writing life.

at 17, writing kept me grounded through dark adolescent storms.

At 27, writing opened new doors and expanded how I related to the world.

At 37, writing remains a good trusted friend and faithful companion. It keeps me honest despite my baggage and projections, not because someone can fact-check or recall my history, but because it springs forth from the same pool as my integrity.

Writing is an expression of my good, loving soul. •
