Peanut Pets Make a 'Peculiar Pet' in Maryland
Posted
March-28-2006
Published in the Montgomery County Sentinel (03/23/06)
In
a snacking twist of fate, the youth services director
of the Maryland (USA) Montgomery Sentinel newspaper contacted
me for permission to use my
Nutty Peanut
Pet Project in their Learning Links (kids'
pages), which are given free to teachers to use in their classrooms.
The director thought the pets would be "fun and foolish
to include in their 'April Fool's Day' issue."
Eager to enter the ajar door of published newsprint
notoriety, I sent my googly-eyed Peanut Pets off to publication
(pictured above). Would it be appropriate to say that I've cracked
the shell to new published possibilities? Hmm. I wonder
if the eyes of the googly-eyed gods are upon me.
