Nit Wits #40: Law of Cattraction

The Law of Cattraction: It's No Metaphysical Secret!

By Chris Dunmire

There's a kitty that lives in my house who has taught me all kinds of lessons about the Nature of Things. Not to take away from G. A. Mendenhall's Cat Physics (a very funny book for cat lovers, by the way), but if you've allowed a four-pawed feline to share your living space, you're certain of these five things:

  1. Cats never get bored with string or laser dots.

  2. The sound of a can opener will make cats suddenly appear.

  3. Cats have selective hearing and can easily engage their "ignore" buttons even if you're just three inches away from their faces.

  4. Windows with foggy moisture or ice will be licked upon even when a kitty's water dish is freshly filled.

  5. A dark sweater will attract light kitty hair, and a light sweater will attract dark kitty hair. I call this The Law of Cattraction (cat hair attraction), which is depicted in my Nit Wits comic #40.

Bonus humor is rewarded to metaphysicians who know the Law of Attraction Cattraction was never really a secret anyway. •
