Why does movie popcorn taste so good?

I went to a show tonight just so I could eat movie theater popcorn. Well, yes, I wanted to see the movie too, but the allure of movie popcorn during certain times of the month mixed with the sweetness of Raisinetes is just too much to pass by sometimes, ya know?

PopcornWhich brings me to the subject of Nit Wits #45: Unicorn. Surely you didn't expect to see a horse with a pointy horn growing out of its head eating popcorn, did you? Silly, you know those kinds of uni-horns (since when is a horn a corn?) are mythical. But one piece of popcorn standing alone is not mythical. It's delicious. And if it's movie theatre popcorn, it's not going to stand long! (To be sure, Unicorn = 1 piece of popcorn.)

Now drawing upon my creativity... I figured out how to squiggle out some cartoony popcorn just for this tasty comic. And this one is special, you know why? Because I've embedded a NitWiticism clue for the clueless in the art. And guess what? I made a free drawing lesson you can download, print, and draw your own corny stuff on too. And for 50 cents more, I'll up sell you to the next size with free refills!

By the way, if you like making art with popcorn, be sure to see my creative play Fluffy Imagination Starch-Gazing Popcorn Art activity at Creativity Portal. And, go ahead, play with your food!

P.S. Now that it's November I just remembered Charlie Brown's Thanksgiving! Ponder turkey day with popcorn, jellybeans, and toast while doodling your own king-sized kernels of popcorn goodness in the melted butter of this fun cartoony art lesson.
