This free printable stressed Christmas Tree "Christmastreess" coloring page is based on my Nit Wits comic #29 of the same title and is all about the Christmas holiday stress.

The play on words is in the TREE and STREESS, so if you're counting down the days until Christmas and feel anything like this tree looks, I command you to STOP, PRINT, and COLOR. Yes, you heard me right. Crayons are the soothing sweetness to stress. Don't believe me? Look at any 5-year-old while they're coloring. What do you see?

A TREEmendous Christmas Story (Blah, blah, blah...)

Nit Wits #29: Christmastreess © 2006 Chris DunmireYou'd never believe that I grew up without ever having a Christmas tree in my house, would you? Because of my unique upbringing, I have a neat little outside perspective on Christmas celebrations (on all holidays, really) that people who've celebrated from infancy don't seem to have.

Each year I'm more convinced than ever that Christmas begins at Halloween and runs through the new year whenever the last person on your block is good and ready to take down all of their Christmas decorations and remove the poor dead pine tree carcass from out of their backyard — which they seem to think none of their neighbors can see.

Last year one of our neighbors left theirs outside until Spring — I'm not kidding! (I only knew this because my office window has a birds eye view of their backyard... I could care less what they do, but it sure makes for some fun writing!)

P.S. Print the alter-ego coloring page to the Stressed Christmas Tree: the Merry Christmas Tree.
