My Involvement with The Leonardo Trait

The Leonardo Trait: Living the Multipassionate Life by Angie Dixon

The Leonardo Trait: Living the Multipassionate Life
Posted Oct-15-2006
Writing My First Book Foreword
If I had a nickel for every book I've read so far in my lifetime, I'd lug them down to a bookstore and promptly buy more books. Yes, I'm one who proudly admits to preferring a library card over a charge card even though my interest rate in books is much higher!

My interest in books isn't just limited to the reading part — someday I'd like to write one. Or three. Or nineteen. And I'm working my way up to doing that by engaging in all sorts of practice writing, including a piece of writing that has found its way in between the covers of a new book someone else has authored. Yes, something I wrote has been published!

How'd that happen? A few months ago I was presented with the privilege of writing the book Foreword (also known as a Preface) to Angie Dixon's new creativity book The Leonardo Trait: Living the Multipassionate Life. The books' official launch to the public is today, and both the Foreword and a Chapter One excerpt are available to read on the Creativity Portal Web site.

(This is where you hurriedly split to go read them!)

I've been a fan of Angie's creative style ever since she began writing the An Open Mind column for the Creativity Portal. The Leonardo Trait is an extension of the style, humor, and outside-the-box thinking I've come to admire in Angie's work, and I'm proud to have my name associated with this book project.

And hey, I don't expect you to just take my word for it ... go read about it for yourself. Find out if you are among the multitude of creative souls in the world who are imbued with the Leonardo Trait.
