Crayon Creativity: October Pumpkins

Orange ya glad it's October?

October Pumpkins Posted Oct-10-2006
An Ode to the Gourd, Morange Crayon Renderings

Dear Pumpkin gods,

Thank you for giving us the pumpkin.

For what would autumn be without it?

What would people carve for Halloween?

And smash in the streets for amusement?

What would children draw scary faces on?

And hang in their elementary school hallways?

The pumpkin gives us tasty seeds.

And fleshy stuff for sweet pies.

And it gives us the gift of "morange."

That warm feeling inside us when pumpkins dot the fields,

And the secret rhyming word for orange!

— Chris Dunmire, Morange-ologist
Inspired by my How to Draw a Pumpkin Lesson

Are ya feeling that warm morangey feeling now?
