Creativity Patch Still Inspires June-25-2009

When's the last time you even thought
about an Inspiration Leak?
Patching Up On Silly Things
By Chris Dunmire
So I'm cleaning up some cob-Webs (directory pixel sweeping) and I came across this nifty advertisement I designed a couple of years ago to promote my Mirecle33 Creativity Patch. Can you believe it's been "out there" for so long now that finding it again is like a serendipitous surprise? I wonder if the Denver Art Museum is still using them?
To make this worthwhile for you, I'm going to share three secrets about my patch that I haven't revealed until now:
- The "33" in Mirecle33 is a reference to my age when I created the Creativity Patch. Funny, I am no longer that age, even though the patch remains the same.
- The numbers under the Mirecle33 logo ("405/20") translate into the date/year of creation. In this case, April 2005. (Oh, this is starting to look like a math problem. "If Chris was x years old when she created the patch in '05...")
- This is the coolest secret of all, although don't ask me to scientifically verify it. Ready? The pixels used in the digital graphic creation fused with the ink from your printer that renders the physical manifestation of the patch (when you print the PDF) actually causes some kind of chemical reaction to occur that energizes the patch with the magic "creativity" that MAKES THIS THING REALLY WORK. It does! Go through the production steps and put one on to see how much more creative you're feeling. The jury's still out on whether inkjet ink or toner ink makes a difference. Oh, and don't get tripped up by words like "magic" and "manifestation." :-)
Best of all, you can still download and print one of my Mirecle Creativity Patch Kits right now... for free! You'll have to wade through more tongue-in-cheek nonsense, but it'll be worth it.•
