Free Cartoony Drawing Lesson: How to Draw a Green Leafy Plant

Nit Wits # 2: Purrassic Park

FACT: People with houseplants have more things to water! Actually, I think its people with houseplants create healthier inside environments (more oxygen, etc.) and have more reason for balanced feng-shui lifestyles.

This particular cartoony green leafy plant makes use of repetitive forms (leaves) that are layered and drawn smaller the further away they appear visually. After you draw the outline of the plant, make the color of the leaves more interesting by alternating light and dark greens. Nit Wits #2 ("Purrassic Park") made use of a similar leafy plant.

Learn how to draw your own houseplant by following my cartoony drawing lesson below. And, um, don't forget to water your houseplants!
