Click to Download & Print the The World's Smallest Sand CastleApril Fool’s Day (or Any Day) Joke For Teachers, Parents, and Practical Pranksters By Chris Dunmire, Sandbox Artist & Practical Joker Each year around April 1 my famous World's Hardest Word Search Puzzles become a hot download, especially for educators. It pleases me to no end to think of all the classrooms full of kids trying to find words in my puzzles that *aren't there* — not to mention the devious collective of teachers standing at the sidelines pulling mass April Fool's day jokes on hordes of innocent children. Okay, with reluctant delight I admit my part in this... In the spirit of continuing good, clean fun, this year I've Dunmire Labs developed a new printable joke for my April Fool's Day collection that includes a little True Grit. I present: The World's Smallest Sand Castle! Warning: Don't smoosh the nanobots! Note: This is a 2-part joke. I've prepared part 1 for you in my printable PDF. You'll need to do a little bit of extra preparation to complete the joke after printing the World's Smallest Sand Castle joke page. All you need is a little bit of craft glue and a pinch of sand . . . and an adventurous sense of humor! Joke Assembly Instructions:

[In case reading the printed joke version is a challenge under the magnifier.] Have you ever SEEN a sand castle this small? This masterpiece of sand art is so tiny that it must be magnified to see! FUN FACTS: The World’s Smallest Sand Castle was carefully crafted by microscopic nanobots at Dunmire Labs™ with the tiniest sand granules available in the world. Once a year they are collected from the remote South Pacific Island of Pullenyerleg and mixed with salt water from the Pacific ocean before formed into sandy kingdoms of imaginative proportions. It is estimated that 4.1 million granules of sand are used in the construction of this exquisite castle, an amazing work of art, and also home to a few hundred nanobots who took up permanent residence inside the castle to keep it maintained (you can see them working if you look closely and are very quiet). PLEASE DO NOT DISTURB THE NANOBOTS! The World’s Smallest Sand Castle is specially preserved for you on this paper for years of enjoyment. To best take care of this unique sculpture and its live inhabitants, please do not get the sand wet or touch the inside of the magnifying glass. Keep the castle in a warm, dry place with plenty of sunshine for at least 3 hours a day. • © 2011 Chris Dunmire. All rights reserved.
