Acting As If Posted Nov-27-2005
Who says you have to be famous to get interviewed?
Maybe you've heard about act as if at a motivational seminar, on a success tape, or in a popular book. Acting as if means you take on the mindset of what you wish to become and allow (or encourage) your behaviors to follow. ...

Eight Irresistible Principles of Fun Posted Nov-24-2005
Flash Movie by Michael Bungay Stanier
I enjoy Michael's "Outside the Lines" thinking. He makes the whole inspire/motivate avenue not only creative, but fun. He sent me a copy of his Eight Irresistible Principles of Fun card set along with his Get Unstuck & Get Going coaching tool a few months ago, and now has an online Flash movie based on the cards that's worth checking out.

Instructions: Sit back, relax, and watch.

See, now this is the kind of thing that should get passed around in corporate e-mail forwards. In fact, I vote that watching this short Eight Irresistible Principles of Fun presentation should be mandatory at work and count on the company's time. What better way is there to inspire employees to be more creative, productive, and happy. Are you having fun yet? Get started now.

E-Mail to the Future Posted Nov-15-2005
The E-Mail Time Capsule
"What if you could write an email to yourself, and be assured of receiving it twenty years in the future?"

Here's an excellent writing prompt for you AND thanks to Yahoo! you can really do it. Well, what are you waiting for? Go write a letter and send it off to your future self!

Klarbrunn Sparkling Water Posted Nov-13-2005
Fizzy, Creativity-Inspiring Water
Years ago I had my first taste of sparkling water — a non-sweet flavored fizzy (carbonated) water. It's like soda (pop) without the sugar. There's a certain flavor essence there, but no sweetness. Sorely disappointed at the time, I couldn't imagine why ANYONE would consume the stuff. ...

Creativity Tip #7 Posted Nov-11-2005
Ignore your inner critic (at least this once) .
Scenario: You're (in the shower, driving through town, washing the dishes, etc.) and are suddenly struck with an idea for some creative project you'd love to try. Within the next few minutes you experience a range of emotions and feelings that look something like this ...
