Alluvial Mining Posted Feb-23-2005
How to Dig Deep for Creative Gold.
One of the recent creativity-inducing features unveiled on Soul Food Cafe was the opening of the Alluvial Mines. Much like the United States in the 1800s, Australia experienced its own version of an exciting Gold Rush. But concerning the virtual mines found on Soul Food Cafe, Heather Blakey notes:

Could this be the beginning of another golden era of Australian mining? It is anticipated that when word gets out eager miners will come from all over the world to to stake claims and plumb the depths of the heavily laden veins of gold. It is likely that this mine will yield richer rewards than the Australian Gold fields during the 1850's.

Learn about the parallels between the Gold fields of the 1800s and Soul Food's Alluvial Mines from the About page:

The human mind is like an alluvial mine. Just below the surface of the ground, or mind is that area of mental and emotional activity which carries with it all the mental and emotional activity which have been experienced by the individual. The subconscious level, or mine, contains a volume of experience and reality. Within it are creative powers beyond belief.

How might one prepare for the deep digging within the human subconscious mine? It goes onto note:

In order to effectively mine this alluvial vein of gold you need to undertake all important preparation and keep returning to the mine, use your intuition, search for links along the rich vein and dig deeper and deeper. Alluvial mining never has been a simple affair. There are no nuggets of gold lying around on the surface of the ground here.

No doubt Alluvial Mining for creative gold will require work, but will result in rich payoffs. And there's plenty of help available for miners through Soul Food's Tips and Techniques and News and Updates page to keep track of new additions, tools, exercises, and activities.
