Angela Mack's Momentum Posted Jun-30-2005
As a fan of Angela Mack's Chronic Creativity series, and now musical talent, I’m delighted to mention the release of her new instrumental CD Momentum. She sent me a copy earlier this week and I was just wowwed at what I heard. The beautiful 'works of art' this musician 'painted' on a sound wave canvas blew me away and deepened my appreciation for the creative process involved in music composition (though I don't yet understand the technical language).

These were my exact words to her:

Angela Mack! What a talented creative soul you are.

I received your delightful CD today and haven't been able to stop listening to the first song (Momentum). It's awesome. My other favorite is track #9 (Repose).

I listened to the entire CD after coming home from a kids art camp this afternoon. I flopped down in the comfy chaise and fell nearly into a meditative sleep after the first couple of songs. THEN, I took the CD along on a ride to an appointment and kept looping [the song] Momentum.

What an entirely upbeat work. I'm so inspired by you!

This CD has been my constant companion all week. You too can be inspired by Angela Mack's Momentum by listening to song samples on her Web site, CreativeConnectionArts.com:

"Momentum" will certainly get your creative juices flowing! It's an eclectic assortment of contemporary world music that will inspire and motivate. Do you like artists such as Yanni, John Tesh, Tran-Siberian Orchestra or Manheim Steamroller? Then this album will be a favorite as well!

And if you decide to support her work, tell her Chris sent you.

Chronic Creativity Reflections Posted Feb-09-2005
When Angela Mack first approached me in late 2004 with her Chronic Creativity excerpts, I found her ingenious way of describing the condition Chronic Creativity in diagnostic terms metaphorically apt. ...

Chronic Creativity Excerpts Posted Jan-27-2005
Not only does Angela Mack have an awesome perspective on those with the constant urge to create (she's a K-8 music teacher, composer, musician, painter, writer, and mother of three boys), but she's decidedly diagnosed this condition as Chronic Creativity and is writing a book about it!

Angela notes "My purpose in writing this book is so that the condition I’ve been infected with, Chronic Creativity, may be more readily understood and hopefully caught."

Stay tuned to the Creativity Portal over the next few months, where inspiring excerpts of Chronic Creativity will be transmitted to readers. Right now you can read her Introduction and about the first symptom, Creativity and Claustrophobia.
