SARK's MicroMOVEments Posted Jun-14-2005
Finished!
Yes, I purposely allowed this book (SARK's Make Your Creative Dreams Real)to dwell around my house unfinished for 11 months (but then again, it's designed as a 12-month "program"). I cracked it open immediately after the July workshop with a fervent start, and graciously allowed it to supplement me like a multi-vitamin during creative droughts and other up-and-down moodiness. ...

The way I tornado through books makes me curious why for nine months I've been savoring the pages in SARK's Make Your Creative Dreams Real book. ...
Gifted with SARK's Living Juicy Cards Posted Apr-08-2005
Journal Snippet from October 08, 2004
I love the two inspiration cards I received at SARK's Chicago workshop in July. One of them says "Play outside more often," and the other says "We are not the things we do."
The cards were tucked away in my executive notepad until yesterday, when I needed to clear it out for a client visit. I flipped open the pad, and out tumbled the two cards that are now proudly buried in a clutter pile to my left. I see the watercolor edge of one peeking out at me. I'm sure it's the "Play more often" one. I really need to heed its advice.
I love that SARK gifted each of her workshop participants with one of these cards, which I think of as small pieces of her — now spread around the Chicagoland area. •
What Would You Ask SARK? Posted Mar-23-2005
Why did you stop handwriting your books?
Have you ever wanted to ask your favorite artist or author a question? I usually don't entertain the thought because 1) famous people are very busy, 2) how would I get my question to them, and 3) what profound thing would I ask? ...
On Meeting SARK Posted Feb-27-2005
SARK was the first author I wanted to meet in person. Typically, I'm not much into seeing famous people (I've been to one concert in my life: Janet Jackson's Rhythm Nation Tour
in 1990. Remember the key earring and baseball cap?), but her work in recent years combined with the knowing of her frequent traveling to Illinois for small conferences, book signings, and workshops made the idea appealing to me. ...
Seeking SARK Posted Feb-24-2005
It's heartwarming to witness an author making great efforts to connect with her fans. In this instance, you'll find a recent
thread on SARK's Marvelous Message Board, where she invited "shy" participants to visit with her. Within the thread many praised her work and commented on how much she's impacted their lives; others asked the author pointed questions; and some just enjoyed the opportunity to be there. SARK answered each person individually, with the
loving grace and humor that endears us to her. I'm appreciative that SARK isn't too "big" for the creative community growing from her garden. •
